This years Wet Westies campout coincided with my birthday so what better way to celebrate than a campout in Benny and a field full of his friends. Fort Flagler is one of our favorite locations and this year did not disappoint. With a record turn out of 47ish vans and gorgeous weather once the wind died down and the rain stopped. Did I mention the rain, there is something special about waking up warm and sung with the sound of rain on the roof especially when it clears up and the sun comes out.
This year was special as I also hit the trails for the first time since my accident, but more about that in a later post.
